Calgary Couture

Who We Are

We met in 2006 and soon discovered we shared an acute passion for style. Though we have differing “base” styles, we both agree that through fashion we can demonstrate and inspire confidence in the people around us.

Desiring to bring the men of Calgary to a place where we can compete on an international level in terms of fashion, our goal is to reflect our friendly personalities through outward styling. We then, in turn, aspire to teach others to do the same.

Why is Style Important to Us?

Style is important because the effort you put into your personal appearance demonstrates to others that not only do you care about yourself and the image you are presenting to the world, but you in turn care about and take seriously the other things in your life.

Hand in hand with this is the oft-repeated adage that your appearance introduces you to the world. This has never been more true than in today’s society, where your image is literally everywhere; from your Facebook profile to your corporate ID. In light of this, we believe that your image needs to work for you; introducing you even before your words do. Why then, would you want your outward image to be anything less than the absolute best you can achieve?

How do we shop for you?

We want to help our clients build a solid foundation in terms of style and fashion and then educate them on how to add new, key pieces to their wardrobe. Additionally, we will teach you how to embrace fashion and really make it your own, identifying functional pieces and illustrating how they work together to create and highlight your own individual style. This knowledge allows for a much more efficient and enjoyable shopping experience, however, for those who choose, we are also happy to take on the job of shopping ourselves, giving you total peace of mind while we take care of all the details.

Many outside influences have contributed to the evolution of my personal style, from modern architecture to urban street fashion. Finding ways to express personal style through current trends and pushing the boundaries on classic mindsets has become my trademark. The difference between good style, and great style, is attention to detail. I enjoy helping people discover that essential bit of personal expression in their wardrobe.

I am most interested in classically styled menswear and its continued relevance and ability to remain timeless regardless of ‘trends’ that come and go. I find the Italian designers very intriguing, especially houses such as Ermenegildo Zegna with their fine attention to detail. Many people are intimidated when initially discovering fashion and one of my passions is assisting my friends in grasping and developing their personal sense of style.
